Rednecks and hippies. Fiddles and horns. Old-timey tunes played by psychedelic youngsters. This was a new and growing scene post summer of love disillusion. Some earnest musicians went big… arena rockers and super-groups, while others searched for the roots.

It was this stew, after Woodstock and before Disco, that Charlie Gearheart formed the Goose Creek Symphony in Phoenix Arizona.
